Trinidad’s Brisas del Mar Hotel is one of the premier hotels in the recently developed Playa Ancon Peninsula area, 12 km south of Trinidad. Generally regarded as 3.5 to 4.0 star hotel, the Brisas del Mar is ideally situated for outdoor enthusiasts who want good cuisine, fun nightlife but who may not need all the luxuries afforded by a larger resort. By any measure, this hotel offers terrific value amidst a truly magnificent and exciting setting on one of Cuba’s most appealing beaches.
Over thousands of years, the Caribbean Sea has developed more than 4 km of eye-catching soft, white sand that contrasts spectacularly with the crystal clear blue waters. When combined with the most popular snorkeling and diving reef that lies just a few hundred meters offshore, Playa Ancon is one of the greatest natural attractions in the Caribbean and in the world.
But, it is also one of the country’s best kept secrets. Only recently developed for tourism, there is more privacy, more nature, better diving and fishing than in larger resort areas like Varadero or Guadalavaca. Throw in the allure of Cuba’s most colonial city, Trinidad, and the fabulous Sierra del Escambray mountains and you have a natural wonderland that is unparalleled in Cuba and the Caribbean.
Sea, Beach, Mountain Theme
Brisas del Mar Hotel is quieter than hotels in the resort mainstream. With 229 comfortable double rooms, 9 spacious junior suites and spectacular Ocean View Rooms, there is an affordable room for everyone. Make reservations early because demand is strong.
Due to the natural surroundings, the hotel does not need a great deal of marketing. Guests at the hotel tend to spend most of their time, beachcombing, snorkeling, diving, swimming in the pools, traveling to Trinidad, hiking and/or mountain climbing. Brisas del Mar offers well-rounded, interesting all-inclusive vacation plans.
With 2 a la carte restaurants, there is no compromise on the Cuban or international fare or service. The 3 relaxing bars entertain hotel guests from early morning to late at night and with great night life in Trinidad, visitors are assured lively evenings and full days. The hotels offers its proprietary cabaret shows that feature local performers. Dance instructors stand ready to teach salsa or any other Cuban dance.
We recommend this hotel for the fun-loving, outdoorsy type who wants less show, excellent bang-for-the-buck and more quality time enjoying Cuba’s amazing natural environs. Want to learn more about hotels in Cuba? Contact Dave or Yordi at Info@travelguidecuba.com.
